Tura, Aug 6: The body of the missing Sub-Divisional Agricultural Officer, Teseng M Sangma, has been located near Indo Wari, approximately 700 metres downstream from Pelga Wari, in South West Garo Hills.

As per information, the discovery was made earlier today by local villagers.

As of now, retrieval efforts are actively underway, with rescue personnel facing extremely challenging terrain. The location is described as treacherous and remote, making the operation to bring the body back to the motorable area a mammoth task.

Teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Fire and Emergency Services and Civil Defence, along with OC of Araimile Police Station, have trekked to the spot and are currently stationed near the river where the body was found.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the time required to retrieve the body due to the difficult topography and safety challenges faced by the team.
