Shillong, Oct 19: Vehicle thieves are once again on the prowl in Garo Hills, causing distress among the local residents.
The Mahindra Bolero vehicle belonging to the principal of Don Bosco school in Tikrikilla, B/R no. ML 08D 9435, was stolen after thieves broke into the school compound and garage and took off with the vehicle.
The incident is said to have taken place on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this connection.
Also, the recent surge in vehicle thefts in the area has raised concerns about the lack of adequate security measures in the region.
