The decision of Supreme Court has brought a ray of hope for her family members who have been relentlessly demanding for an independent investigation.
According to the petitioners, the landlords Raj Kumar and his nephew Amit Sharma were involved in the murder of the girl. Amit Sharma was a frequent visitors to the landlord’s residence.
Allegation of foul play and negligence on the part of local authorities have long plagued the case.
The family members have alleged that initial investigation by the police was incompetent and bias with an intention to shield the accused.
