National Conference themed on Challenges and Roadmap of NEP 2020 was held at NEHU Tura Campus

Tura, April 3: The Department of Education, NEHU, Tura Campus hosted a two-days National Conference on Navigating the Educational Landscape of the 21st Century: Challenges and Roadmap of NEP 2020 on the 21st and 22nd March 2024.

The conference delved into the various facets of NEP 2020 and its implications on the education landscape of the nation.

More than 200 participants from across the country presented their paper though offline and online modes in this two days National Conference.

The conference witnessed a culmination of insightful discussions, reflections, and deliberations aimed at charting a roadmap for the future of education in India.

Addressing the gathering the educationist emphasized on the aspects of NEP 2020. Professor S.C. Subudhi, Head of the Department of Education stated that “the conference served as a platform for meaningful discourse, collaboration, and knowledge exchange, paving the way for a more informed and effective implementation of NEP 2020 to realize its transformative potential in the realm of education”.

Dr.Madhukar.Gampala, Associate Professor was the Convener of the Seminar provided an insight about the conference, and set the tone for the discussions and highlighted the key objectives and themes.

Professor B. Sudhakar Venukapalli, member National Council for Teacher Education and Indian Council for Philosophical Research, and former Dean and Professor, EFLU, Hyderabad was the keynote speaker, he elaborated on the implementation strategies and challenges associated with NEP 2020, and the transformative potential for the education sector.

Professor Paripally Shankar, Member Southern Regional Committee ,NCTE, emphasized on the pivotal role of teacher education in the context of NEP 2020, underscoring its importance in shaping the future of education in the country.

Prof. Dibyajyoti Mahanta, Chairman, Eastern Regional Committee,NCTE, spoke about the prospect of inclusive education.

The Presidential Address was delivered by the Director of NEHU, Tura Campus, Professor Sujata Gurudev, who highlighted the broader vision and objectives of NEP 2020.
