New Delhi, Dec 13: A security breach was reported inside Lok Sabha after two young men jumped down from the visitor’s gallery and reportedly hurled gas-emitting objects.
Soon after the incident, BJP member Rajendra Agrawal, who was in the chair, adjourned the proceedings till 2 pm.
According to reports, Anti-terror unit special cell of the Delhi Police arrived inside the Parliament to question the people who caused the security breach at the Lok Sabha.
Both of them have been nabbed and the materials with them have also been seized.

Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said the two men were carrying tear gas canisters.

In a post on X, Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi said, Saw two young men unleash foul smelling yellow coloured gas from canisters inside Parliament gallery. MPs rushed to grab these men. One person was raising some slogans. This raises serious questions on another aspect of the new Parliament building- security

Two protesters detained
Also, two protesters, a man and a woman have been detained by Police in front of Transport Bhawan who were protesting with colour smoke. The incident is said to have taken place outside the Parliament.
Delhi Police sources said that antecedents are being verified and they are being questioned related to security breach and who gave access.
Police officials are also trying to find out if any connection with those who jumped inside. Multi-agency questioning also likely, said Delhi Police sources.

This security breach happened on the day when nation is observing the death anniversary of people who sacrificed their lives in the 2001 Parliament attack.
