Majority of the Christians in Nagaland have voted for the BJP as they believe that only the party can provide development in the state, Shullai said while addressing a function felicitating over 151 land owners for donating their lands for various developmental projects including roads in Lumparing area.

He added many youth from Nagaland, who are working in various states like Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, West Bengal, Gujarat, have all returned to their home state following different development, which created job opportunities, after the BJP was voted to power with 12 MLAs and even the deputy chief minister of Nagaland is from the BJP.

“Since BJP came to power in Nagaland, the state has witnessed various developmental activities like engineering college, medical college in many districts have come up with have convinced the youth to return back to their home state,” he claimed.

According to him, this is an indication that people have changed their mindset about the BJP, being anti-Christian.

“Therefore, I urge the people of the state to follow the footsteps of the voters of Nagaland by ensuring the BJP is voted to power (in 2023) for the overall development of the state,” Shullai said.

He further stated that the people of Nagaland had outrightly rejected the political propaganda against the BJP as anti-Christian and hence recently they have voted Phangnon Konyak as Rajya Sabha MP.

“The people especially the youth of Nagaland have fed up with the lip service of other political parties hence they have voted for BJP. NE states like Nagaland, Manipur, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram have changed their mindset and have decided to vote for BJP,” Shullai said while urging the people not to fall trap to the political propaganda that BJP is anti-Christian.
