Dibrugarh, Aug 17: A major fire broke out in Laju village, Arunachal Pradesh, gutting six houses after an electrical short circuit.

Assam Rifles troops from Laju acted as first responders, swiftly evacuating all civilians to safety and using fire extinguishing equipment to bring the blaze under control.

Their prompt and coordinated action not only prevented any loss of life but also stopped the flames from spreading further, thereby safeguarding the rest of the village.
