In their latest operation against illegal activities along the Indo-Bangladesh border, the Border Security Force (BSF) stationed in Meghalaya rescued 46 cattle worth more than ₹8 lakh, which were intended for smuggling into Bangladesh, on Tuesday.
After getting input on illegal cattle smuggling, a team of Guwahati police intercepted two suspected trucks on the Jorabat route. On searching the trucks, the police found that they were loaded with 70 cattle heads.
