Several people received their Christmas gifts early this year as Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Wednesday surprised shoppers and traders with an impromptu visit to Tura Bazar, where he personally bought and gifted clothes and shoes to people from economically weaker sections, spreading festive cheer through acts of kindness and direct interaction.
