NPP candidate from Shillong parliamentary constituency and cabinet minister Ampareen Lyngdoh on Monday said politics is becoming mature with the BJP’s decision to extend support to the party candidates from Shillong and Tura in the elections to the 18th Lok Sabha, slated on April 19.
Speaking at an election meeting in Jalaphet, East Jaintia Hills with Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar, cabinet Minister in Conrad Sangma led ruling Meghalaya government, Ampareen said, “I will work in close coordination with the Dollois, the Waheh Chnong (headmen) to understand their problems and raise it in the Parliament”.
Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) president and INDIA alliance candidate from Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency Lurinjyoti Gogoi was welcomed in Dibrugarh District Congress office on Tuesday. He was felicitated by the Congress members in the party office.
