Acting on a tip-off, a police team from Basugaon police station conducted a raid at a hotel on the station road area and nabbed the three KLO insurgents.

All of this came to light after one of the arrested suspects led the police to a house where Ri Bhoi police conducted a search.Following the search , the police recovered small arms, several gelatin sticks, detonators, ignition fuses, alongside HNLC flags and other incriminating materials from the arrested individual.
