In a major shift from traditional paper-based surveys, Meghalaya will roll out a fully digital Census 2027, introducing online self-enumeration for the first time, with the initial phase set to begin from today.
A media delegation comprising 10 members from Meghalaya reached Gangtok today as part of a six-day media exposure tour to Sikkim organised by Press Information Bureau (PIB) Shillong. The delegation was warmly received by officials of PIB Gangtok upon their arrival.
Press Information Bureau, Shillong organised a Vartalap programme in Tura, Meghalaya on Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) [VB–GRAM G] with the objective of promoting awareness and encouraging participatory governance at the grassroots level, in alignment with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
