The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills, RM Kurbah, has requested the Voice of the People Party (VPP) party to refrain from holding their proposed sit-in-demonstration in front of the secretariat in view of the 71st plenary session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) in Shillong on Friday.
The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi District has prohibited the use of Loudspeakers/PA Systems/Music Systems for various events, celebrations, or festivities between 10:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. Under 'no circumstances' should there be any deviation from this permissible limit, a notification from the DC said.
