Shillong, Jan 5: Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh on Friday inaugurated a mural adorning the front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office building in East Khasi Hills.
The artwork beautifully portrays the state’s rich traditions and culture, incorporating a touch of contemporary artistry.
During his speech, Lyngdoh emphasized the importance of a coordinated efforts across all sectors to garner the recognition that the state truly deserves. Referring to Meghalaya’s cultural heritage and natural beauty, the Minister declared it as the upcoming sought-after destination.
He expressed optimism that if the state maintains this trajectory, within the next few years, people won’t solely rely on the government for employment opportunities.
