Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) President Roykupar Synrem on Thursday appeared before the Lumdiengjri police station for questioning in connection with a suo motu FIR registered against him over a speech he made at a meeting on March 11.
The Hynniewtrep Youths' Council (HYC) has demanded the state government to keep on hold the recruitment process for filling up of 21 posts of medical and health officers (M&HO) citing that the allocation of vacancies to the three indigenous tribes appears to be inconsistent with the state's job reservation policy.
The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) on Monday demanded the state government to include the organization in any discussion related to the recruitment process in the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS).
Speaking to reporters, HYC president Roykupar Synrem said, “We demand the government to immediately institute a judicial inquiry to be headed by the Session District Judge or retired judge into the matter.”
