Tripura CM Manik Saha says BJP will secure absolute majority in elections

Agartala, Feb 16: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha cast his vote in Agartala’s Tulsibati Higher Secondary school on Thursday.

Manik Saha is contesting the assembly elections in the state from Town Bordowali constituency.

Speaking to media persons after casting his vote, CM Manik Saha said, “BJP will do better than last time and I am hundred percent confident that BJP will secure an absolute majority in the elections.”

Huge enthusiasm among the voters has been seen as many have been queuing up at polling stations from 5.30 am.

Tight security arrangements have been made for free, fair and peaceful elections.

Altogether 28.13 lakh voters, including 13.53 lakh women, will decide the fate of 259 aspirants of whom 20 are women in Tripura.

The percentage of voter turnout in Tripura Assembly elections till 9 am has been recorded at 13.92 per cent.
