Dibrugarh, Aug 4: An accident on the Khowang flyover claimed two lives and left five others injured when a night bus rammed into two private vehicles returning from the “Bol Bom” pilgrimage.

The victims, traveling in vehicles bearing registration numbers AS 06 AA 5723 and AS 06 H 1049, were rushed to Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh, where the injured are undergoing treatment.

Eyewitnesses reported that the night bus fled the scene immediately after the collision. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
