Boko, Mar 20: The government is implementing various schemes for the benefit of the weaker section of the society. The woman named Junu Boro from Bahjani village under 5 No. Uttar Pachim Gaon Panchayat of Bongaon Development block alleged that she has been deprived from the state government’s ambitious scheme ‘Arunodoi’, even after her image was displayed in the government’s advertisement cover photo of the Arunodoi scheme.
The state government had launched the scheme for women below the poverty line in Assam on 2nd October 2020. The Assam government is offering around ₹1000 per month under the Arunodoi Scheme to the state resident households so they may purchase basic food products.
Junu Boro also alleged that she applied for the Arunodai Schemes three times, but she didn’t get one. But women from the same village already got the benefits from the scheme. While asking about her photo on the scheme advertisement leaflet, she said that she came to know about the image in the advertisement from a friend and later verified it herself.
She has now urged Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma to give the benefits of the Arunodoi scheme as the photos have been published. Junu Boro, who is still also deprived of government houses, told the media that she has been selling vegetables in Bamunigaon market three days a week to support her poor family.
When asked about the matter to the Circle officer of the Chaygaon circle office Chiranjit Das, said that he had no such kind of information regarding this matter. He assured that he will discuss the matter with the Bongaon Development Block Officer and the family will benefit from the scheme at the earliest.
