Tura, Feb 19: The Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, in collaboration with Tura Christian College, will organise the 1st Youth Parliament at the District Auditorium, Tura, on March 2 and 3.
The initiative aims to provide a platform for young participants to understand the functioning of parliamentary democracy, develop leadership qualities, and engage in meaningful discussions on public issues. The programme is expected to encourage youth participation in democratic processes and promote awareness about legislative practices.
The Youth Parliament is part of ongoing efforts to nurture responsible citizenship and strengthen democratic values among the younger generation.
