Shillong, Dec 2: BSF in the Garo Hills sector have been victorious in curbing smuggling of indian items into neighbouring country Bangladesh and in the latest operation seized dozens of bundles of clothing item totalling an amount of Rs. 12,00,950 in value.

The 55 Battalion of BSF sezied the goods from smugglers inside the border area of Nilwagre in South Garo Hills on Wednesday. The smugglers were trying to take it across to Bangladesh illegally through the international border for sale when BSF patrol teams spotted them. When challenged, the smugglers fled abandoning their goods.
