Tura, Jan 23: Tributes were paid to remember the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in Tura today, January 23rd.

Organised by Central Puja Committee (CPc) of Garo Hills the event was marked with a colorful programme in Tura main market where chief guest and deputy commissioner of West Garo Hills Ram Singh and CPC President C B Chetry followed by other citizens present on the occasion placed flowers and wreaths on the picture of Netaji Bose. speaking on the occasion the chief guest spoke in length about the sacrifice made by the great leader in Indian freedom struggle and encouraged the youth to follow his philosophy of life.

Earlier the CPC President welcomed the guests and public for the occasion and also highlighted about Netaji’s supreme sacrifice for the nation.
The vote of thanks was offered by Professor Arindom Ghosh.
