Guwahati, Dec 11: Aashirvad Foundation, a non-governmental organisation dedicated to cultural enrichment, is organising the 2nd South-East Asian Cultural Confluence 2023 in Guwahati. The event, spanning five days from 8th to 12th December, aims to bolster cultural ties and promote tourism in the North-East region.
On the evening of December 9th, the Sankardev Kalashetra International Auditorium in Guwahati became a melting pot of cultural diversity as esteemed cultural groups from around the world took center stage by performing the folk dances of their respective countries.
The confluence is also celebrating the close Cultural ties between the North-East region of India and South-East Asian countries, there by opening ways for upcoming opportunities.
Prominent senior artists, accompanied by Bangladesh Additional DC Ruhul Amin and educators from various countries, graced the event with their presence. An organiser revealed that not only Bangladesh but also a US team has actively participated, joining hands with representatives from Bhutan, Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, Assam, and Mizoram.
The confluence has attracted over 100 artists and educators from diverse countries, adding a rich and international dimension to the event.
One of the organiser said, “We are hosting a seminar and workshop as well. The primary objective of our event is to facilitate cultural exchange with various countries, creating meaningful connections among people through the universal language of music.”
