3 Meghalaya officials pass first stage of AIFF Level 5 national course

Shillong, March 30: Expanding the pool of qualified match officials, three Meghalaya referees/assistant referees have successfully completed the fitness and written examination for upgrade to Level 5 under the All India Football Federation.

The three are Pipilmoris Wanniang (women’s referee), Shidalin L Marshillong (women’s assistant referee) and Jespar Syiemlieh (men’s assistant referee).

The exams were held on 25 and 27 March at LNIPE Gwalior. The successful candidates will be invited for practical and viva in due course.

Level 5 is the first rung that enables referees/assistant referees to officiate national-level matches, rising to Level 1 for those with the highest certification. Levels 6-8 are for state-level referees/assistant referees.
