Tura, Jan 20: The volleyball finals of the 5th Meghalaya Games came to an end in Tura on Saturday, with South West Khasi Hills District securing the gold in the women’s category, and West Garo Hills District claiming the gold in the men’s category.
In the women’s category, South West Khasi Hills District secured the gold medal by defeating South West Garo Hills District in a 3-0 sets encounter (25-22, 25-11, 25-20).
The South West Garo Hills District clinched the silver medal, while the bronze was claimed by the East Khasi Hills District.
The West Garo Hills District won the men’s category, with a 3-0 victory over South West Khasi Hills District (25-23, 25-13, 25-15).
After an intense battle, South West Khasi Hills District won the silver medal, while South West Garo Hills District took the bronze.
