Tura, Aug 30: The AKHAF has submitted a memorandum to the Border Minister of Assam, Atul Borah, regarding the issue of damage of tombs in the village graveyard by the Assam police personnel on August 1, 2023.
The AKHAF submitted the memorandum on Tuesday.
AKHAF’s General secretary, Manuel Marak, said the Assam government promised to resolve the issue of damage to tombs in the village graveyard by the Assam police and to punish the concerned personnel involved in the crime. Further, the Assam government had agreed to pay compensation to those who lost their plantation.
