Shah is scheduled to address a public meeting at the Hapta Kangjeibung ground in Imphal.

Shah’s last visit to Manipur, amid ethnic tensions was in May last year, underscores the significance of his upcoming visit in the state.

“Our preparations have been in full swing for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s rally on April 14,” stated a BJP leader in Manipur.

Manipur’s electoral landscape will unfold in two phases, with Inner Manipur going to polls on April 19, alongside parts of the Outer Manipur constituency. The remaining segments of Outer Manipur will vote on April 26.

Despite challenges, Manipur has come to normalcy following the tumultuous events of the past year, setting the stage for the democratic exercise.
