Shillong, Oct 5: Former KHADC CEM Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit on Tuesday floated a new regional party in the State named the “Voice of the People”.The party will be officially announced in November, announced the party president Ardent Basaiawmoit. He said the main ideology of the party will be on clean politics and governance as there is a call for a change from all quarters.Basaiawmoit urged the people to put faith in the newly formed regional party. “Our party will bring different policies. People carve for a change and we hope our party can deliver. There is insecurity, anger and frustration amongst the youth with the rise of unemployment, so we have high hopes that the new party will fulfil of all the people needs,” he said.
