Guwahati, Apr 28: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) on Tuesday declared the Class 12 examination results for 2026, with the overall pass percentage standing at 81.54%, led by a strong performance in the Science stream.
Science students recorded the highest success rate at 89.79%, followed by Commerce at 81.13%, Arts at 79.54%, and Vocational at 74.20%.

In the Arts stream, Baksa district topped the state with a pass percentage of 94.29%, while Chirang district secured the second position at 92.99%.
A total of 3,22,723 candidates appeared for the examinations across all streams.
Arts: 1,91,798 students passed, including 54,755 in first division, 79,181 in second, and 57,862 in third.
Commerce: 15,796 students cleared the exam, with 7,787 in first division, 5,694 in second, and 2,315 in third.

Science: 54,474 students passed, including a high 34,079 in first division, 17,777 in second, and 2,618 in third.
Vocational: 1,465 candidates appeared, with a pass percentage of 74.20%.
