Guwahati, June 20: In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and gangraped by a group of three miscreants in a moving car on Monday while she was returning back home from school.

The girl is a class 9 student in Assam’s Goalpara

According to reports, the incident took place while the girl was on her way back home from school when she was forcefully dragged inside a car from the streets near her house at Forest gate.

Reports said that the girl was sexually assaulted by three miscreants and later dumped her near a graveyard in Forest gate at around 3 pm.

After victim gained consciousness, she returned home and seeing her condition, her parents rushed her to the emergency ward of a civil hospital.

Later, an FIR against the miscreants were filed by the victim’s family where they mentioned the names of two alleged accused while the identification of the third accused is yet to be revealed.

Also, the parents of the girl informed that the accused are of the same region, Alimuddin and Phoonchand.

At the time of filing the case, the victim in her statement revealed that she was picked up, drugged and forcibly taken inside the car following which she was allegedly sexually assaulted.

Also, on the victim’s body there were visible marks of nails which shows that the heinous incident took place.

The Goalpara police said that an investigation has been initiated and a manhunt has been launched to nab all the three miscreants involved in the incident.
