The accused has been identified as Mostafa Rahman (29), son of Mirsab Ali Sarkar. Acting on actionable intelligence provided by Gojraj Military Intelligence, the STF launched a swift operation leading to his arrest.

“This operation is just the beginning. We are committed to dismantling every node of this network. Citizens must remain cautious—unsolicited calls or messages asking for personal information could be linked to such criminal activity,” a senior STF official said.

Rahman has been booked under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and the Information Technology Act, indicating the grave nature of the charges.

Further interrogation of the accused is currently underway, as STF continues to expand its probe into the wider network behind the Ghost SIM operation.
