Assam: Suspected Ulfa-I cadres lob grenade at Army camp in Dirak

Dibrugarh, Nov 22: Two motorcycle born men, suspected to be Ulfa-I cadres, lobbed a grenade at an army camp located at Kopahtoli near Dirak in upper Assam’s Tinsukia district on Wednesday.

No casualties have been reported so far.

The blast took place in front of 19 Grenadiers gate at Dirak gate at around 7:40 PM.

Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a massive manhunt.

Sources said Ulfa-I has done the grenade blast to show their presence ahead of their protest day (Nov 28).
