Guwahati, Sept 07: Assam police have arrested two persons in connection with the alleged murder of a CRPF constable near the Bordumsa check gate on the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border.
The accused have been identified as Chao Neuta Min of Changlai village in Changlang district and Chao Arvi Khen of Jenglai village.
A CRPF jawan was allegedly stabbed to death in Bordumsa along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border check gate on Wednesday. According to police, he was allegedly stabbed to death by unidentified persons who came on a motorcycle.
As per information available, the personal has been identified as constable Sunil Kumar Pandey.
According to CCTV footage available, the CRPF jawan in a casual dress tried to stop a speeding motorbike and when he prevented them, both of them fell down and one of them stabbed the CRPF jawan with sharp weapon.
The constable after being stabbed was taken to a medical facility for treatment but he succumbed to his injuries.
Tinsukia Superintendent of Police, Abhijit Gaurav, said, “We have nabbed the accused with the help of Arunachal Police. We have started investigation into the case. They were drug peddlers and carried weapon along with them.”
