Guwahati, April 29: Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a 2-kilometer roadshow in Guwahati, Assam this evening as part of the campaign for BJP’s Guwahati Lok Sabha constituency candidate Bijuli Kalita Medhi. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP State President Bhabesh Kalita, and other ministers accompanied Shah during the event.
The roadshow, which began from the Cycle factory and ended at the Lal Ganesh area, drew thousands of enthusiastic supporters who lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the Union Home Minister. The atmosphere was electric, with supporters chanting slogans and waving BJP flags.
Commenting on the roadshow, a BJP supporter said, “Amit Shah is here, that is why everyone is very excited. Next time, there will be the Modi government. These sounds will strengthen democracy. India will become more powerful in the future.”
Another supporter was enthusiastic, stating, “Since we heard that Amit Shah will do a roadshow here, we all are very excited, we have closed all the shops and came to the street to see it.”
A third supporter praised the BJP government’s development initiatives, saying, “BJP has done a lot of development, Modi government has made changes to the pure transformation system, that is why I will vote for BJP.”
