Dibrugarh, Apr 8: The Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday led a roadshow in Dibrugarh to campaign in support of Dibrugarh Lok Sabha candidate Sarbananda Sonowal.
Thousands of people participated in the roadshow, which traversed the main routes of Dibrugarh.
Himanta Biswa Sarma, a popular BJP leader, attracted large crowds eager to catch a glimpse of him. Sarma was seen taking selfies with the people.
In the absence of Sarbananda Sonowal, Himanta Biswa Sarma participated in the roadshow in Dibrugarh.
On Sunday, Sarbananda Sonowal took part in several rallies in Tinsukia to garner support from voters.
The Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency is one of the prestigious constituencies that will witness a triangular contest between AAP candidate Manoj Dhanowar and INDIA bloc candidate Lurinjyoti Gogoi.
The Dibrugarh Lok Sabha seat has a total of 16,50,706 voters who will cast their valuable votes to decide the fate of the candidates on April 19.
