CPI (M)-Congress an ‘unholy’ alliance, says Tripura BJP president

Must read

Tripura, April 8: Tripura BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee on Sunday unveiled a pamphlet and alleged an unholy alliance between once primary opponents CPI(M) and Congress under the INDIA bloc.

Speaking to reporters, Rajib Bhattacharjee said, “BJP does not believe in violence. The best example has been seen in the 2023 Tripura assembly elections. We don’t believe in political violence. The CPI(M) has done a lot of atrocities during their rule but now they are speaking about democracy and the constitution. Both Congress and CPI(M) have supported political violence during their regime,”.

“We have enough evidence of political violence against the Communist and Congress during their rule. Lots of Corruption and nepotism has happened during their time now they are accusing us,” Bhattacharjee said.

He further added, “Tripura people can’t forget the history of bloodshed during the election. The communist have supported violence and through violence and bloodshed they grabbed power for several years,”.

“Now the communists are seeking votes by different means. Through the tea industry Tripura has been making good revenue but to destroy the industry the CITU has taken many measures by influencing the workers,” Bhattacharjee stated.
