Shillong, Feb 11: All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Jairam Ramesh on Saturday called Dr Mukul Sangma and his team the Judas Mukul Party (JMC).

Acknowledging that there are many people who have betrayed the Congress Party in the last couple of years, he said, “Good riddance. Their commitment to the values of the Congress and its ideology obviously it’s not very strong.”

He added that there are many puppets of the BJP and now there is a new puppet in Meghalaya politics – the JMP.

Ramesh’s statement was made during a press conference after the release of the manifesto and party song in Shillong on Saturday.
