Nongpoh, Dec 30: A family narrowly survived as a huge boulder fell on their house at 10 Mile area inKhanapara, Ri-Bhoi district, late on Thursday afternoon.

Locals informed that the hill was being cut for some developmental purposes when a big boulder fell on the house of one Durga Pourel. A family of three were inside the house at the time of the incident.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, a team of Khanapara police reached the spot and began investigating the matter.
