Tura, April 27: In a significant move for cricket in the Garo Hills region, James P. K Sangma, former Minister and current chairman of the Meghalaya Infrastructure Development Corporation (MIDC), has been appointed as the Chief Advisor to the Tura District Cricket Association (TDCA). The announcement came today at the TDCA office in Alotgre, along with the appointment of Saljagring M. Marak as another advisor to the association.

TDCA president D. D. Shira emphasized the wealth of experience and influence that Sangma and Marak bring to the table. This strategic decision aims to elevate cricket in the Garo Hills, providing more opportunities for budding cricketers.
