SHILLONG, FEB 19: Trinamool Congress (TMC) state president Charles Pyngrope has revealed that the party is working to field candidates in all 29 constituencies for the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) elections slated to be held on April 10.
“For the district council elections, leader of opposition Mukul Sangma is putting all efforts to field candidates in all the constituencies of the GHADC,” Pyngrope told reporters on Wednesday.

“We have received most of the applications and also processed some but the final list is yet to come out…,” he added.
The TMC had set an ambitious target of winning 12-14 seats in the 2023 Assembly elections but fell short, securing only 5 seats, including 4 from Garo Hills and 1 from Khasi Hills.
