Climbers want gifts that would feed their climbing experience. Gifts for climbers are cheap but reasonable at the same time. Their climbing essentials make a good gift for climbers. Simply lay out the panels at your destination or hang them from your pack while hiking with the charger’s conveniently-placed hanging hook. So wherever you are—in any conditions—you’ll have the assurance of extra power for all your needs.  One of the best gifts for rock climbers around!

Trango Rock Prodigy – Best gift for climbers

A highly ergonomic design provides maximum finger strengthening and comfort. All climbers could use a little extra strength–and where better to gain this strength than in the comfort of your apartment or home? Hangboards have long been one of the most effective ways for climbers to get stronger, and few boards can match the quality of Trango’s Rock Prodigy. Composed of two individual pieces, a climber can adjust the board to their shoulder width. The board also features a wide variety of holds: crimps, slopers, edges, pockets, pinches, and more, providing the user with the full range of variation necessary for balanced hand strengthening. This is a great gift for rock climbers looking to improve their strength.

This stainless steel bottle will maintain temperature and endure in any condition. Garmin Inreach Mini Satellite Communicator

This gift is a pricey item, I JUST bought one myself, but not because I didn’t need one earlier (I was just too cheap to invest in one). This in my opinion would be the ULTIMATE gift for any climber (or backpacker or hiker for that matter). I’ve loved having this thing with me when I hit the trails. In an emergency, you can trigger an SOS for 24/7 search and rescue, if something horribly wrong happens while you are on the trail or out in the backcountry on a climb, but what is even cooler about this tiny device is that you can also have 2-way communication with the ones you love and send and receive messages while you are in the “dead” zone for cell service. The Garmin in Reach Mini also has the ability to send a constant tracking signal while you are outdoors, so you could actually have your family members check up on you while you are hiking or climbing. It is pretty rad.

Petzl actik Headlamp

I pretty much don’t go anywhere without a headlamp, including when I go out to climb and PARTICULARLY if we are going into the backcountry or on a longer, more complicated climb. I have a Petzl headlamp, and it has been going strong for over 3 years now. I was recently backpacking near Half Dome, and I ran into some hikers who looked lost. It was getting close to sunset, so I asked them if they needed any help. They told me they had just gotten down the cables from Half Dome and weren’t sure which way to head back to the trailhead. They didn’t have anything with them. No water filter, no jackets, and no headlamp. All they had was their phone flashlight, which definitely wouldn’t last them on the way back down. Don’t be this person, and don’t let your friends be them either. Make sure they have essentials like light!

Rock Climbing Rope

You can’t compromise on the quality of climbing accessories especially a rope that is going to bear the weight of you and other gear that you are carrying while climbing out there. So, gifting this heavy-duty climbing rope will be a great gesture of showing your love for a climber who you really care about. They use 20 whole core technologies to make it more durable than its competitors. It comes in different size lengths (33, 49, 66, 98, & 164FT) and 3 colors including black, red, and orange.

Friction Labs Climbing Chalk

Does climbing chalk really matter? We sure think so. Especially after we had the chance to test out Friction Labs chalk for ourselves. The idea behind FrictionLabs started when two long-time climbers discovered that many popular chalk brands contain high amounts of “fillers” such as calcium carbonate. On the other hand, magnesium carbonate, which is known for its exceptional drying effects, was found in low quantities. To remedy this, FrictionLabs offers a chalk that is high in Magnesium Carbonate and low in Calcium Carbonate. The results are way better chalk. FrictionLabs chalk is available in various textures, ranging from a very fine powder to pretty chunky. A safe middle ground for gifting is the Gorilla Grip variation.

Thera Cane and/or Mighty Bliss Massager

Recover faster, increase circulation, and regain mobility. On the low-tech front, the versatile Thera Cane (pictured on the left) helps to target specific knots and tight muscle areas that arise throughout the entire body—be that shoulders, back, neck, legs, etc. The greatest benefit of the Thera Cane Massager is its ability to provide additional pressure on muscles in hard-to-reach parts of your body. It’s also not too pricey and easy to travel with.

However, if your climber is looking for a more advanced tool to aid in muscle recovery, the Mighty Bliss Massager (pictured on the right) is sure to offer relief. Featuring a 3,700 RPM motor and six massage head options, the Mighty Bliss Massager helps to release the most stubborn of knots. Further, the product is backed by a lifetime replacement promise.

Bronner’s Soap Sampler Pack

Heading into the mountains doesn’t necessitate a lack of personal hygiene. Luckily, there’s Dr. Bronner’s soap. Biodegradable and packed with refreshing essential oils, Dr. Bronner’s liquid castile soap offers an incredible 18+ uses. It can replace your body wash, dish soap, toothpaste, shampoo, laundry detergent, and more. Further, the concentrate is made of 90% organic ingredients and the bottles are constructed of 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. So, be friendly to both yourself and the planet with this versatile, environmentally-friendly all-purpose soap.

Helinox Chair One

After a long day on the rocks, there are few comforts to match that of a nice camp chair. Using the same lightweight technology of trekking poles, the Helinox Chair One weighs a mere 2lb while being able to support up to 320lb. A provided storage bag allows you to easily stash and stow the chair, while a 3-year warranty provides quality assurance.

JBL Flip 5 Bluetooth Speaker

It is a premium portable speaker with 12 hours of battery life. Whether your climber is around the campfire or at home in the kitchen, the JBL Flip 5 will be his or her new favorite companion. Listen to tunes or podcasts for a full 12 hours per charge, all while enjoying the crystal clarity offered by one of the most respected brands in speaker technology. The Flip 5 also comes in a rainbow of color options (11 choices) and the speakers can even be paired for a full surround-sound experience.

Rave strap Climbing Shoe

Wearing the right size and comfortable on feet shoe makes the way easier for a climber to climb over sky-high mountains. So this new fashion rave strap climbing boot is perfect to gift to an enthusiast climber. It has a unique padded collar and heel for extended comfort. Available in multiple sizes (6-13) foot size and color options (blue, red, and grey).

Bug Climbing Backpack

This backpack is an excellent gift for climbers that has a couple of small and big separate compartments to allow them to carry all the necessary equipment such as water bottle, food items, carabineers, torchlight, etc. when going out for climbing far on hills and mountains. It features an easily adjustable strap system with a climbing rope. Three color options are there to make a selection from orange, red, and grey.

Half Dome Climbing Helmet

Safety comes first when going to have hands-on climbing so this helmet is a wise gift idea for climbers. They incorporate special EPA foam to keep it lightweight without compromising on quality and comfort level. It also maintains the lowest anti-suspension rate. It is backed by an easy to buckle nylon chin strap system for single-handed adjustments. It comes in different sizes and color variations.

Climbskin hand repair cream

Rock climber hands get rough, and after days and days of climbing, we need to make sure we have a solid hand repair regimen. I spent some time looking for that perfect hand repair cream, and for me that is something that will heal my hands but not be super greasy or “thick” feeling after I put it on. The ClimbSkin Hand Repair Cream is probably the best stuff I’ve found so far for that. It’s fine to have a thicker hand cream on when you go to sleep, but sometimes when you just want some hand repair during the day and this is my go-to stuff. I love it! Michael keeps stealing this from me too, so I think he likes it also! This is also one of those gifts that climbers can’t really ever get enough of, we continually use it.
