Karimaganj, May 26: This morning, a goods train collided with a Maruti 800 car near Duaribagar in Kayasthagram in the Karimganj district of Assam.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the Maruti 800 car (AS 10A 1511) was trying to cross the unmanned railway crossing when, unfortunately, the car got stuck on the railway tracks.
However, the three passengers miraculously emerged from the car just moments before the Tripura-bound train struck and dragged it over 200 meters.
Meanwhile, the NF Railway officials are reaching the spot, and an inquiry is likely to be announced.
