Gurdwara delegation visits jailed Khalistan leader in Assam

Dibrugarh, Mar 21: A seven-member team of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee arrived at the Dibrugarh Central Jail. The seven-member team includes lawyers.

The delegation arrived from Punjab to meet Khalistani supporter Amrit Pal Singh and nine others imprisoned in Dibrugarh Central Jail.

Speaking to media the delegate stated that as Amritpal Singh and his aides are on hunger strike and were also admitted to hospital due to health issues the delegate said that they got “prasad” which is a sacred food and would request them to break the fast with it.


The Punjab Police had sent eight persons to the Dibrugarh jail after charging them under the NSA following a crackdown against preacher Amritpal and his aides.
