Shillong, Oct 27: The HID Foundation Shillong has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the State Bank of India (SBI) for donating a new Mahindra Bolero vehicle under the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The donation will support the Foundation’s outreach work across Meghalaya and other parts of the North East, enabling smoother implementation of its community development and awareness programmes.
For over 14 years, HID Foundation Shillong has been involved in various humanitarian activities from promoting rural livelihoods in agriculture and horticulture to organizing awareness campaigns on justice, women and child safety, anti-drug abuse, road safety, environmental protection, healthcare, and education.
Acknowledging the contribution, the Foundation said SBI’s support demonstrates the bank’s commitment to social responsibility and its encouragement of organizations working for the welfare of society.
The Foundation extended its appreciation to the SBI officials involved in the CSR initiative — Anootpol Roy, Assistant General Manager, SBI Shillong Main Branch; Biswajit Dey, Officer, SBI Administrative Office; Samir Kant Jha, Deputy General Manager and Head of State Administrative Office, Meghalaya; Sujit Dey, Assistant General Manager and In-charge (Marketing Communication and CSR), LHO Guwahati and Amriesh Kumar Jha, General Manager, LHO North Eastern Circle.
In a statement, HID Foundation said the vehicle will greatly enhance its capacity to reach remote communities and expand its ongoing humanitarian projects.
“We are deeply thankful to SBI for their generosity and continued trust in our mission to serve the people and contribute to nation-building,” the Foundation said.
