Guwahati, March 16: Assam Police recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from Doidak area under Dokmoka police station in Karbi Anglong district on Wednesday, which were hidden underground.

According to police sources, the recovery includes One AK-56 Rifle, one 9 mm pistol, one 0.32 pistol, one 9 mm Sten gun with two magazines, 9 nos of AK magazine, 88 nos of live AK ammunition, seven (7) nos of 9 mm ammunition.

“On the basis of a secret information recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition which were hidden underground in Doidak area under Dokmoka police station. The following items recovered are, one AK-56 Rifle, one 9 mm pistol, one 0.32 pistol, one 9 mm Sten gun with two magazines, 9 nos of AK magazine, 88 nos of live AK ammunition, seven (7) nos of 9 mm ammunition is included. We are probing the matter, who has placed this material and for what purpose or in which terrorist organization, we are probing the matter,” informed Karbi Anglong DP Sanjib Kumar Saikia.
