Shillong, May 25: West Ham United on Friday announced the signing of Indian winger Rahul KP, who will represent the Premier League club in an upcoming seven-a-side football tournament in the United States.
The 25-year-old Kerala-born winger, who currently plays for Odisha FC in the Indian Super League and has seven international caps for India, will represent West Ham in The Soccer Tournament (TST) 2025, a high-stakes football event to be held in Cary, North Carolina.

While Rahul has not officially joined the West Ham squad that plays in the Premier League, his inclusion in the Hammers’ TST lineup is still a historic feat, making him the first Indian footballer to be part of a Premier League club’s team setup, even if it’s in a different format.
TST is a winner-takes-all 7v7 football tournament with a prize of $1 million. The 2025 edition will have 48 teams in 12 groups, with clubs like AFC Bournemouth, Villarreal CF, Borussia Dortmund, and Atlético de Madrid participating. West Ham United is among them.
TST is week-long tournament held in Cary, North Carolina. The inaugural edition of the tournament was in 2023.
