Jaintia Hills’ Mid-day meal workers protest, demand honorarium of last 6 months

Jowai, Oct 6: The All Jaiñtia Midday Meal Workers Union organised an agitation at the premises of the District School Education Officer, West Jaiñtia Hills on Thursday to remind the government that they have not received their honorarium for the last 6 months.

The Union was led by its Advisor K.L.Pariat, President Jerry Anderson Suting amongst others and later met the Sub Division School Education Officer, West Jaiñtia Hills A. Syiem.

Pariat inform that the agitation was held in various district headquarter of the state to express their disappointment, and if the government doesn’t pay heed to the Union’s demand, then the agitations will grow louder.

Jerry Anderson Suting and the Vice President of the Union of Cook Cum Helper PM POSHAN Meghalaya, put October 13 as the deadline for the government tp will pay their honorarium else the agitation will reach Shillong.
