SHILLONG, MAR 16: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) NEHU Unit visited Neima Children’s Home in Pynursla on March 14, bringing learning materials and spending time with youngsters under the theme “be a bearer of goodness.”
General secretary Ibakordor Marwein said caretakers explained the home was founded because many orphans from Meghalaya had to be sent out of state to missions, and space is now limited.
KSU members played games with nursery‑to‑class‑12 children, distributed gifts, and handed out books to lift spirits and encourage studies.
“We hope to be an example to society to lend a helping hand to these children,” Marwein said, adding that KSU wanted the visit to give them encouragement and hope “so they work hard and one day help others who face hardship.”
