Guwahati, Mar 18: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday claimed that Congress winning candidates would join BJP after polls.

Sarma, who began his poll campaign from Karimganj in Southern Assam said that he would ensure that after polls all winning candidates from Congress join the BJP.

“Congress candidates will join BJP… what is the value in giving votes to them.
Those who win from Congress ticket will join BJP. The main question is will the Congress candidate will remain in the party after elections. This time whoever has been contesting from Congress, I can bring everyone to BJP but except, perhaps for one,” said Sarma.

Terming that this is being of Prime Minister Modi’s charisma, Sarma said, “This is all Modi’s credit. Modi’s vision is “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikash’. This time minority people will vote for us because now they are getting government jobs without any money”.

Sarma further said that BJP will win both Karimganj and Nagaon in the upcoming Lok Sabha. “We will win the Karimganj seat with more than 1lakh votes. The minorities section of the State will vote for BJP this time because we have won their thrust with good work. During Congress days, minority students did not get jobs but now they are getting government jobs without giving any bribe,” he added.
