Loyola College Williamnagar celebrates academic achievement; students secure 16 ranks in NEHU exams

Williamnagar, Aug 23: The Loyola College in Williamnagar is in jubilation as its 9th batch of degree students have excelled in their academic performance, bagging 16 ranks in different honours the college offers in the recently declared NEHU examination results 2023.

These include first rank in education and Garo, second rank in Garo, third rank in English and Garo, fourth rank in education and Garo, fifth rank in Garo, seventh rank in economics and Garo 8th rank in English and Garo, nineth rank in Garo and tenth rank in Garo.

The Loyola College in Williamnagar is in jubilation as its 9th batch of degree students have excelled in their academic performance, bagging 16 ranks in different honours the college offers in the recently declared NEHU examination results 2023.In the commerce stream, of the 43 students of the batch, 30 students secured a first division and the rest 13 students secured a second division. The commerce students fulfilled the dream of the former principal to have no third division in the department.

Loyola students were in the rank list from the time NEHU introduced semester system in 2015. Starting with 3 ranks in the first batch, 12 ranks in 2022 the college raised that number to 16 ranks in 2023. Of the top 10 ranks in Garo, 11 Loyola students were in the rank list with 2 students each securing 4th and 8th ranks.

Loyola College was established to give quality higher education to the people of Garo hills and the college will strive to put East Garo Hills on the map of Meghalaya with higher scores in Higher Education in the state, a statement from the college read.

The collage further expressed its gratitude to Education Minister Rakkam A. Sangma, local MLA and PHE Minister Marcuise N Marak, Director of Education and former Deputy Commissioner Swapnil Tempe, present Deputy Commissioner Vibhor Aggarwal, Controller of Examinations, NEHU and other dignitaries who have sent congratulatory messages to the former principal.
