Shillong, March 4: A man was stabbed to death at Kynroh Taxi Stand, Nongstoiñ, West Khasi Hills District, during midnight on Sunday.

The victim, identified as Macbornbonnyson Kharbani (29) is a resident of Upper New Nongstoiñ.

Following the incident, Kharbani was rushed to Nongstoiñ Civil hospital after the incident but was pronounced dead on arrival by the doctors.

West Khasi Hills police made one arrest in connection with the stabbing case. The accused, identified as Medius Mawlot who is a resident of Mawkaton Village.

As of the filing of this report, the motive behind the crime is uncertain. However, police are currently investigating the matter.
